Embroidered Recycled Sari Silk Yarn is produced from recycled Sari Silk cloth which is embroidered with Art Silk through manually operated machine. This is what gives this fiber its atypical appearance and makes it perfect for all kind of handicraft projects, including weaving, macrame, and much more.
The characteristics of this 100% Silk Yarn are quite similar to our Recycled Sari Silk Ribbon, particularly shiny, though it is more resistant and elastic.
A hank of 100 grams / 3.5 oz contains approximately 60-65 meters / 76.5 inch of Silk. The ribbon is around 0.2 inch / 0.5 cm wide.
Discover the five hand-dyed colors, all inspired in Pantone colorstory "Balancing Act"! They perfectly grab the subdued and elegant atmosphere of the 50s: muted pastel tones with lots of glass and wood when seen in interiors and architecture.
These ribbons are made in India and dyed in small batches. Small irregularities and color differences are possible due to its artisanal nature. If you order multiple hanks, they're always taken from the same batch. To avoid differences in color if you order at different times and possibly from different batches, make sure you order enough to finish your project.
